Book Buyback Program and Policy
The Scholar's Source accepts used books in good condition in exchange for store credit, in accordance with the following guidelines.
General Terms
Customers may bring in one medium-sized box or reusable tote bag (approximately 25 books) per visit.
Books must be free of water damage, odor, excessive wear, or missing pages.
Children's board books and children's paperbacks are accepted as donations only.
The store reserves the right to decline any books based on condition, subject matter, or inventory needs.
Compensation
All compensation is issued as store credit only, redeemable in-store. Store credit does not expire and may be applied as follows:
- Up to 100% of the purchase price toward used books.
- Up to 50% of the purchase price toward new books or other new merchandise.
Large Lots & Liquidations
For lots of 100 books or more, or full collection liquidations, please email info@thescholarssourcebookstore.com to arrange an appointment.
Vintage & Antique Books
Vintage and antique books are accepted but must be appraised separately, by appointment only.
Additional Policy Information
All appraisals and offers are final at the time of transaction.
The store may amend this policy as needed to reflect operational capacity and market conditions.
